Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is used around the world to extend and improve quality of life by augmenting the treatment of injuries, diseases and infections, as well as to improve overall wellness. mHBOT involves breathing 90-95% oxygen in a pressurised chamber to increase oxygen levels in blood plasma.
A century of clinical research has shown that increased oxygen in plasma accelerates our natural ability to heal through neurogenesis and angiogenesis. mHBOT can reduce inflammation, improve cognitive function, and support overall wellness by increasing oxygen delivery to tissues. It is particularly beneficial for recovery from injuries, chronic pain management, and boosting the immune system.

Contrast Therapy
Contrast therapy combines infrared sauna + ice bath, magnifying many of the fasting benefits in gentle, powerful ways.
Sitting in the Infrared Sauna warms you from the inside, dilating vessels, increasing circulation, encouraging sweating. This helps mobilise and release fat‐soluble toxins, warms your core without heavy energy demand and supports detox during the fast. Then, plunging into the Ice Bath triggers vasoconstriction, reduces inflammation, flushes metabolic waste, improves immune signalling and lymphatic drainage as well as boosting immunity and mental clarity via cold‐shock hormones.
Alternating between heat and cold (sauna → ice bath → repeat) enhances thermogenesis (fat burning), supporting metabolic flexibility, strengthening the nervous system, calming the mind and anchoring the fast in resilience rather than strain.

Journey Work
Fasting is not just a physical cleanse... it’s an invitation inward. When paired with Journey work, the experience deepens, opening space for emotional release, clarity and profound reconnection. Journey work gently guides you through these layers, helping you meet what’s ready to be seen with compassion and presence.

Iridology and Sclerology offer a unique window into the body’s inner terrain, revealing where vitality flows freely and where stagnation may reside. During fasting, as the body shifts into deep repair and detoxification, these gentle, non-invasive diagnostic tools can offer powerful insights.
By observing the Iris (iridology) and the whites of the eyes (Sclerology), practitioners can identify signs of stress, toxicity, inflammation and constitutional strengths or weaknesses. This guidance can help tailor your fasting journey, highlighting which organs may need extra support, where to focus energy or when to slow down and nurture.
In a time when the body is already healing, Iridology and Sclerology act like a map, affirming your path and clarifying the deeper messages your body may be whispering. Movement
Movement during fasting is not about effort, it’s about flow. Gentle practices like walking, stretching, intuitive exercise and lymphatic movement become sacred tools for awakening the body’s natural intelligence. As your system detoxifies, movement helps energy circulate, supports lymphatic drainage and encourages the release of what no longer serves... physically, emotionally,
energetically.

Enemas
During fasting, the body naturally enters a deep state of cleansing, where detoxification deepens and old waste and toxins can be stirred up and begin to move.
An enema is a gentle, supportive ritual that helps the body release what it no longer needs. As we fast the digestive system slows to a halt and without regular elimination, this build up may cause discomfort, fatigue or emotional heaviness.
An enema offers relief by clearing the colon, lightening the system, and allowing energy to flow more freely. It supports liver and lymphatic function, reduces toxic load, and can ease symptoms like bloating, headaches or irritability.
More than just a physical cleanse, the process can be deeply grounding. It is a way to honour the body’s wisdom and assist its natural rhythms. In this way, enemas during fasting are not invasive, but a gentle act of self-care: releasing, softening, and creating space for renewal from the inside out.


Fasting supports
When fasting, our systems lean deeply into cleansing, regeneration and subtle energetic shifts. Tools like the Chi machine, Rebounder, and Vibration plate can tenderly support the body and lymphatic flow without overwhelming the system. Together, these modalities help
maintain energetic circulation, ease stagnation and amplify the cleansing of the fast.
- The Chi machine offers a gentle swaying motion stimulating circulation and lymphatic drainage. Clinical trials report reductions in fluid retention and extracellular fluid after consistent use. It moves your body passively and is an invitation for stagnant fluids to mobilise, especially during fasting when detox pathways are active.
- A Rebounder (mini trampoline) works via subtle bouncing that creates a pumping effect in lymph vessels. This rhythmic lift and fall supports detox, encourages fluid movement and gently wakes up the lower-body channels.

Forest Bathing
Forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese practice of immersing oneself in the natural environment to promote health and well-being. Engaging in forest bathing can support the fasting journey by reducing stress and anxiety, lowering blood pressure and boosting the immune system. It encourages deep breathing and relaxation, which can enhance the body’s ability to detoxify and rejuvenate. We recommend you regularly connect with the natural environment at Wind Spirit as forest bathing allows you to connect, calm the mind and supports the body’s natural healing processes during fasting.


Breathing
Breathing deeply during a fast... whether through 7 rounds of 7 or slow conscious breaths is a powerful way to invite calm and presence. As digestion slows, your nervous system can soften and breath becomes a bridge between body, mind and spirit. Each intentional inhale fills your cells with fresh oxygen, fuelling energy and clarity, while each gentle exhale helps release toxins and tension
held in the body.
Respiration is a major detoxification pathway where we breath out acids, releasing toxic waste. It also enhances lymphatic flow and circulation, further amplifying the body’s natural detox pathways. The regular rhythmic nature of breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging healing, restoration, and emotional balance. In these moments of breath, fasting
becomes more than abstinence; it becomes a moving meditation, a practice of surrender and a doorway to deeper self-awareness and renewal.
Water
Drinking plenty of pure water becomes essential to support the fasting process. Without the usual flow of food your system works hard to detox, releasing wastes, shedding old cells and shifting metabolic pathways. Water helps flush these byproducts, easing the load on your liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system.
Hydration also cushions the intensity of fasting. It soothes fatigue, eases headaches, supports clarity, and hydrates the colon. On an energetic level, water invites flow where there might be stagnation... physically and emotionally. Adding trace minerals or a pinch of sea salt will further
support your fast, especially over longer periods.

When you fast your body is already in a state of inward focus, healing and release. Kahuna massage enters that space gently, weaving physical, emotional and energetic support into your fast. With its long flowing strokes, it stimulates lymphatic drainage, helping move stagnant fluids, reduce swelling and assists your body to flush waste more easily.
Kahuna deeply relaxes the nervous system, bringing you into that restorative parasympathetic state where regeneration, clarity and subtle inner shifts can happen more freely. Emotionally it can release stored tension or allow grief to unfold. When we fast, foot reflexology becomes a soft, anchoring practice that supports detox, calm and inner listening. By applying pressure to reflex points on the feet, reflexology stimulates nerve pathways linked to organs, digestion, and elimination; encouraging toxin release and helping the body move into healing mode.
It also gently activates the lymphatic system, encouraging fluid flow, reducing swelling and helping waste move more freely from tissues to the organs of clearance.
As the nervous system softens, reflexology invites rest and restoration, lowers stress and anxiety, and supports deeper sleep; all of which are vital during a fast. Rooted in presence, reflexology can help you feel more grounded, balanced and attuned to what your body is revealing through the fast.
