The Wonders of the Working Bee

Recently, we gathered for a Working Bee here on the land at Wind Spirit.

After months of abundant rain, Mother Nature had worked her magic ... along with the weeds! With the first half of the year bringing almost constant rain, the gardens had taken on a life of their own and were ready for some loving care.

Five wonderful souls answered the call, generously sharing four mornings of weeding and tending the gardens. We had a sweet opening ceremony for the group with cacao, and afternoons were for rest, connection and nourishment. Some simply relaxed in the peaceful energy of Wind Spirit, enjoying our wellness offerings including the PEMF mat, Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber and sauna, or simply wandering through the breathtaking landscapes of the Northern Rivers.

There is something deeply rewarding about caring for the land together. The laughter, shared meals, meaningful conversations and collective effortreminded us that when we come together in service, everyone leaves feeling enriched.
As for me... I was in the kitchen cooking up a storm! A completely foreign experience, considering we usually run fasting retreats where the kitchen gets a very peaceful holiday and no one expects to be fed! It was quite the role reversal ... from guiding people not to eat, to making sure everyone had plenty to enjoy. I think the pots and pans were just as surprised as I was!

A huge thank you to Beks, Justine, Simon, Lisa and Melissa for all your care, generosity, willingness and amazing work at Wind Spirit.
